*** OMT roosters Vs Magpies ***

Watching the replay and given Carroll is a good header of the ball, it looks like his header is being directed at Dier -and away from the goal.. I would say if any forward gets up and heads down towards the defenders the odds of getting a penalty must be fairly high. And as a tactic fairly...

    OMT - Tottenham v Shkendija

I think I have figured Ndombele out. His strategy is one of energy conservation, he has kept going at the same pace throughout, while everyone else has slowed down. Good to see him do 90 minutes.

Lo Celso and Sissoko for Ndombele and Winks ,,,?

Yes I know - where did that come from. It's like he could use it all along but just didn't want anyone to know. To the extent that he will run around the ball to use his left foot sometimes. (Like I used to in park football)

Yes, but that was only within his turning circle.

I thought Lamela was good when he tried to play first time balls in behind. I think he's got a good footballing brain and sees (and then plays) quick passes that other players don't anticipate. Which doesn't excuse his appalling one footedness and his lame two hands up it-wasn't me-ref...

    OMT - Tottenham v Shkendija

As long as we avoid conceding from a set piece or conceding a pen and having a player sent off i think we might grind out a 1-0 here. I'm sure Mourinho is pondering on how early he can get away with taking off any even slightly forward looking player and replacing them with defenders.

The Ndombele situation is very frustrating. He is obviously very talented. But he looks a few seasons short of match-fitness rather than just a few games.

Ndombele's wishing you could have runner in football too.

Yes but they couldn't do it because of COVID. So they were allowed to use their manager's assessed grades.

Actually now I think about it I think Ndombele is modelling himself on 'blowing hard in the early rounds' Anthony Joshua (vs Andy Ruiz 1). As opposed to 'light on his feet running away from Ruiz' in the later rounds Anthony Joshua (vs Andy Ruiz 2).

I think Ndombele is modelling himself on walking Messi. As opposed to run length of pitch, dribble around three players, chip the keeper Messi.

Now that was a game of two halves. Not sure what to make of it. I'd like to see Kane play behind Son more often, though, rather than leading the line.

So from now on just flick the ball up in the box against someone's arm...they will be forced to change this ridiculous rule.

That is madness. They need to fix this rule.

1-0 down and no pressing at all is crazy tactics. They can just slow the tempo.
