I appreciate all that Gallagher did for us last season in helping us stay up. He wasn’t the perfect player but scored key goals and worked hard for our survival. But I can’t see that he’s the answer now for our first team and not with the salary he is being paid.

I think he deserves a chance to be a first team player elsewhere. And he may be a better fit elsewhere. I do think his salary could be an obstacle to any potential move.

Agree but on the last sentence - I think people are going to be surprised by how much Gallagher is used this season. Just a feeling, but I think he's going to have a more prominent role than a lot of people expect....

I don't disagree....but amongst the other players we have, and will continue to buy, he feels like he'll end up like B.Johnson...ie useful, but in a limited functional way.

His usefulness this season will be around his availability compared to players that still have question marks over availability. If Kulu, Xavi and Madders were rock solid...then Id be nonplused about him leaving

Yeah, I think he's our starting number ten if we play that way and don't sign anyone.

Two clubs out of many, we don’t seem to be very successful with this sort of arrangement … as with the majority

And out of the two clubs mentioned … how many players actually end up going back… I’d suggest not many in the slightest

Ultimately it is very good money, my belief is that given the money they are talking it also shows what a talent he is, same with Vusko, we are clearly selling IMO to trade up on ready now players, I can't see this as a slight on their talent because Bergvall is extremely good.

As I said elsewhere, time will tell if this is the right decision

The reason no one ever uses them is because they clearly made the right decision 9/10 times by letting them go.
