Percy is a pretty connected journo so this is likely on the money when it comes to the expected sale price.
Sad to see Bergvall go if a sale is agreed but understand his desire for regular play in preferred position and that we simply can't offer him that right now. He's not exactly had a settled environment in the last couple of years either.

Including him as a part-exchange for MGW or Morgan Rogers (if Villa would want Bergvall) would be pretty efficient.

50 million for a player that wants to leave and not fight for minutes is good business

It's a shame, I would have preferred a loan / Bentancur going ahead of him, but that's not going to happen.

He could go on to be a brilliant player but if he wants to leave don’t stand in his way and let’s do a £50m deal with a 20% sell on like Vuscovic. That would be brilliant business again.

I’d happily test the waters with MGW again though.

Was voted our player of the season a year ago. 50m is fair, not that great imo. We'd take it because of his inconsistency. Add ons to bring it up to 55-70m would make sense. At times he is a 70m player (never mind the other times!).

He could, but I'm also not a fan of the entitlement of some of this squad with demanding minutes, you need to earn them

Also got a chance to learn from players like Tonali etc

Not sure he is demanding anything, he wants to play, be that here or elsewhere, he is entitled to have that ambition. Players despite popular belief are not silly, they know if you spend near 200m on two CMs your time is going to be limited regardless of your own self belief.

In all honesty, it doesn't seem like we have an issue leveraging these youngsters for money to spend elsewhere either, so its likely abit of both

I think it's a great characteristic. A young player with talent like he has should be doing all he can to ensure he fulfils his promise as a footballer. He's also not come out and slagged off the club or made any demands. As far as we can tell, it's been handled professionally.

I doubt he's fronting out anyone at the club about playing minutes?

It's probably the same as Vuskovic...hoping to play at Spurs then you sign Hecke Sensei Fernades Tonali Gallagher and are understandably thinking 'where do I fit in?'
