So, what happened today?

I’ve struggled to find a good English word for it - it’s a kind of a chronic «funnybone» condition (what a silly word, in Norwegian we call it «widow’s shock» - also very silly, I guess), or an overburdened epicondyle of the elbow. I’ve finally found a few muscles to hit around that area to supports it more, and it seems to finally begin to work.

It’s enough to support Spurs to contract these weird things! 😅
Might be 'tennis elbow' in English mate?

Took my 8 year old with me and drove to Bodø for his first Bodø/Glimt game. They've been utter crap the last weeks, drawing one and losing one 5-0 to last years champions, Viking Stavanger. Fortunately they looked more like themselves today, and won 3-0 on a beautiful, beautiful day in the sunshine and 16 degrees. Really nice day with him, and he even got to high 5 with a lot of the players after the game!

I was making my morning coffee just an hour ago when all of a sudden this deep rumbling sound got louder and louder until it sounded like a truck smashed into my building and everything just shook for a couple of seconds. What the fudge? Turns out it was an earthquake! 3,3 on the Richter scale, so not a biggie, but not something that happens often over here.

At least it wasn't the Russians coming

I’m more shocked that you were making coffee that late in the day. Decaff, I hope?

So my son is a huge huge fan of the Phoenix comics and his favourite is Bunny vs Monkey… he has all the books and the best day of his life before today was seeing the guy who created them do a draw along live when he got a signed book and poster but didn’t meet the artist Jamie smart
Anyhow… they host a weekend festival in Oxford Uni. Tickets are harder to get than Glastonbury (I tried for one event Saturday and failed). Luckily we got a Sunday ticket and it was 9.30 today.
Great we thought at last we can join the queue to get a book signed by the artist Jamie … turns out that was free but ticket only and those went in some random event too (we found out Tuesday)
I wrote a polite email asking what the hell happened… they wrote a polite one backing saying sorry
So
Social media being what it is I tracked down the artist and IMd him on Instagram
What a man
He read what i sent but id didn’t ask for anything. But ge clearly loves his fans
He arranged for a private meet and greet today for my son who finally met his hero. The guy gave us 10 minutes of his time. Was so friendly and polite and signed plenty of stuff including some new artwork he did just for my son for a book that comes out in October
I’m now the best dad ever (whilst it lasts)
But the key is social media did something good for once. That rare beast in social media really connecting people

One happy and proud dad

Nice to hear some good news for a change - you must both be buzzing.

He is knackered but so wired
At 9 meeting your hero that you want to emulate is kinda new but brilliant if they ain’t a dingdong
This guy was bloody outstanding
I’ve met a lot of famous people through work and pleasure
Not sure who my idol would be TBH… Gazza is guess when I was young and he was everything I expected
We’re sure my son has ADHD… he’ll I’m sure. I have it, but these books are his release And he devours them. Can’t complain having two kids who love reading
