Luckily most are crocked so it's a problem for the summer! If that is true (big if) that would actually make some sense.
Would require a significant clear out in midfield at some point though.
Some may scoff, but, you could be barking up the correct tree...Poch is coming after the WC, and he said get me Gallagher.
In before gutterboy.

You talk like that’s not on the manager? Check out the Adam cleary video in the “give him time?” thread, spells out the problem in no uncertain terms..Oh, I didn't realise this was the Conor Gallagher thread, I thought the Conor Gallagher thread was the Conor Gallagher thread.
When Villa were in the hot seat, I was a bit annoyed because I remember them signing Tielemans and most people on this board saying Tielemans was brick and immobile and we definitely shouldn't sign him, and I remember people on this board saying McGinn was an inathletic fat-arse who struggles to get around the pitch and wasn't good enough for Spurs and... it is these types of experienced pro's that know how to win games and know when to push and when to feign injury and when to wind someone up and when to go in for the decisive moments.
Maybe Frank saw how Villa passed through our limp attack/midfield/defence twice in a row on Saturday and thought "nope, we need to change this".
I've seen the video. I'm certainly not saying Frank is blameless in our limpness, I'm just saying that Frank wants to change it e.g. maybe he told Gray and Palhinha to get tight on Tielemans or Buendia and not stand between them all doing nothing. Maybe he told Porro to kick Malen REALLY hard in the shins, rather than allow him to do whatever he wanted. Maybe he trusts Gallagher to kick someone REALLY, REALLY hard. You talk like that’s not on the manager? As I said…. Comes straight in as our best midfield player.
Mate - never assume that people on here have a scooby about football and footballers (present company excepted of course!Oh, I didn't realise this was the Conor Gallagher thread, I thought the Conor Gallagher thread was the Conor Gallagher thread.

Appears to have a touch of the Declan Rice about him in that highlights reel doesn't he?I'm not head-over-heels in love with the signing of Gallagher as a person/player/profile but I am mightily happy that we are signing a Prem-proven player who turns 26 in a few weeks, he was captain of Cheatski and their best player at points AND it is for a good price, not £80m for example.
That is what I want now really, proven players that can definitely lift us up, not another 18 year old that we coach/train/play/coach/train/coach/suffer through all their mistakes for 3 years and then at 21 we say we still aren't sure about them.
Having said all that, and to contradict myself... is Hayden Hackney good enough?
Maybe we will replace Paratici with a simple algorithm; each year buy the top midfielder from the Championship, buy the top winger from Ligue1, buy the top defender from the Bundesliga... simple!
Yes. It's interesting that every single clip is either a fairly standard tackle, or a 10-15 yard pass, or a 10 yard dribble then a 10-15 yard pass. It all looks so basic and so easy, I find myself wondering why Bergvall/Gray/etc make it look so impossible to achieve.Appears to have a touch of the Declan Rice about him in that highlights reel doesn't he?

If you put together a highlights reel for Bergvall it would all be 40 yard runs and 40 yard passes and 40 yard shots, yet these little moments from Hackney look so effective and should be well within the wheelhouse of our current players to progress the ball up the centre of the pitch; imagine that!
Perhaps it's because he's in the Championship and our players are in the PL.....just a thoughtYes. Skipp was never much of a passer even at Norwich. He was commanding and dominant but his passing range was mediocre and never really improved. How does it compare to Skipps videos from his time at Norwich i wonder?
Yes, Bergvall loves to ping it long.40 yard pass from Bergvall? You sure about that?![]()
