*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Ipswich Town FC ***

10 points up to 5th. Can we?

Sadly with 12 games left, thats a bridge too far, bearing in mind we still have to visit Liverpool and Chelsea, we have West Hams Cup final thrown in too, plus Villa Park next to last game, and City coming to town Weds night.

Just think to claw back 10pts in 12 we that selection of games is too much. From where we have been I could live with 9th or 10th

I saw enough of him at Bayern the last season and a half to know that he's a talent. I think long term, if he stays he will be a wide option. Not sure he's strong enough to be up against aggressive centre halves every week.
Is he a better wide option than Odobert? Or is it a case of them complementing rather than competing for the same space?

I suppose it depends on how you view it. I'd have to look over every one of those 16 chances and see which ones actually meant something. The only two which annoyed me were the first 30 seconds and the goal itself. I'd also wager that half the other opportunities they got came as. result of a brick ref who did not give us free-kicks we should've got.

Honestly, if you can call the defending 'diabolical' after a 4-1 win away from home, I think it's clear you simply don't like the way we currently play, and further, won't give any concession for progress/acknowledge that when we are able to rotate and rest players, we're actually not a bad football side at all. Bear in mind were still missing Romero, VdV and Solanke.
For what it's worth total xG against of 1.15 (understat.com).

That and the eye test... Not bad, not diabolical. A bit too vulnerable at times. As you say, no Romero, VdV and Solanke.

Another improved performance imo, but still some way off our best. But the small breaks, players back and players not as fatigued helps. Probably need even better to get something from the next game, but wouldn't be a shock to see us up our game.

Thought we dealt with the circumstances of the game well today.

Really haven't seen enough of Odobert yet to make that judgement. But being as we do have options there you would think Tel would Really have to impress for us to trigger the 60m option.

I really think it is the most trustworthy measure of us.

All other opinions seem to come down to whether people like the style we play with or not.

Do you remember the days when these pages were full of experts telling us Liverpool and City couldn't defend? We do play a game which leaves us open if we give the ball away cheaply, with our 2 main defenders back I think we can cope better, but our forwards and midfielders need to do better with the ball.

Absolutely!

Today, Gray at RCB was signicant as he was able to find the passing angles which favor his preferred foot; he's also an excellent passer. I believe that if (a big 'if') he wants to, he could become our RCB for years to come, but if we can get VdV back it will be huge. And hey, I wouldn't be against Romero returning LOL!!!!!

All season we've needed to be sharper up-top, and agreed, our midfield still lacks something (albeit Bergvall is getting really good)...I can see the life coming back to our football.

What did people make of Hutchinson today? As a potential RWF option, if we can't get Dibling?

I think he's been good in both games against us, the WHL game even more so

I think any xGa of over 0.5 is unacceptable.
