You still need to improve the team. Even the best teams in the world bring in players to freshen things up or to give the existing squad a boost. Unlikely we were going to improve as a result of not spending when everyone else around us spent money on players either trying to catch us or remain...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2023/24

Couldn’t find the ST renewal thread. Do we still have the option to pay monthly as I couldn’t see it on the website when I looked to renew it? Circumstances have meant I can’t afford a one off payment right now so monthly payments are the only choice for me.

I’d imagine it feels pretty great. I don’t begrudge them at all. We had the added euphoria of beating the direct rival team who we were fighting with for 4th to actually clinch it which felt like winning a trophy at the time.

Some of my gooner mates wanted a draw as it killed our chances of top 4. If the roles were reversed, I would have wanted Arsenal to win. I’m not that petty that I’d care more about them finishing top 4 than us winning the title. I feel our position is at least more understandable.

Definitely. I remember one of my cousins asked me around March 2010 if I would accept 4th place if it meant Arsenal winning the league (they were loosely in the title race at that point with Chelsea but by no means favourites) and without hesitation I said “yes”. We beat the pair of them about a...

Long term absences from the CL isn’t good for us but a year or two isn’t the end of the world. Arsenal managed ok being out of it for 6 years.

A win and a rare clean sheet would be nice. I know the last few months haven’t been easy and the last few days in particular have been especially crap, however we have a chance to end the season on a high and honestly 5th with 66 points would represent progress obviously with a lot of work to do.

Easier to understand maybe but I also can’t understand why so many can’t see our point of view. Very unique set of circumstances that hopefully never happens again, but like I said, I don’t get how/why some can’t see why we didn’t want to do our rivals a massive favour.

And if you can’t see why that alone wasn’t enough of a carrot for some of us to get behind the team when the downside was we hand the advantage to our most hated rival then there isn’t much more to say. I’m just a bit fed up of some of the insincere moralising from fans on here and in the real...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I don’t think I have. I can fully understand why some fans wanted us to win and have a sniff of CL football on Sunday. I didn’t agree but I got it. Those of us who didn’t want us to win didn’t admonish those who wanted spurs to win like it was the other way round.

Like @billyiddo said though, it is undeniably different for those of us who live and work amongst Arsenal fans who are insufferable and unbearable. You’ve said your experience with them is different and they’re ok with you and that’s fine, I think you’re very lucky but that’s not my experience...
