Sorry which seasons are you referring to? We finished 4th once since 2019

    Levy's Plan

Once again, I’m saying the last 6-7 years haven’t been good enough on the football side regardless of what came before it: 6th, 7th, 4th, 8th, 5th, 17th and 17th.
  5. Jurgen the German

    Levy's Plan

Yeah I get it. 4th back in the 80s would probably have been considered a good season relatively speaking for most clubs but there wasn’t any tangible reward for finishing in the top 4 like there is now.

    Levy's Plan

You talked about the infrastructure, the training ground and the stadium and how Levy implemented additional revenue streams. I’d argue that’s more commercial related than football related, although it is kind of the football side as well technically. I was referring more to the squad building...

    Levy's Plan

The commercial side is indisputable. I’m talking about the degradation of the squad over 6-7 years which Levy oversaw.

    Levy's Plan

I know. I was just responding to his question as it was phrased like we’ve not had sustained periods of success until Levy came along. I was just pointing out that the 80s was a more successful decade than anything Levy achieved and the even the 90s when we were often useless, we managed...

    ENIC

I don’t think those are contradictory arguments at all. They’re actually two sides of the same point: the issue is the lack of consistency and sustained success across Levy’s tenure. There were periods where the league performances were good but we didn’t win trophies. There were also periods...

Well if we want to be considered a big club then we need to do both. Finishing 17th, EL win aside really isn’t good enough.

The EL win was great but the league table shows consistency and is the most accurate barometer.

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Look I get it. He’s ever present in news cycles, he says and does outlandish and crazy things, he’s larger than life and he’s the meanest, most politically incorrect president in my lifetime. I used to get annoyed daily in his first time. I was staggered at how people can vote for such a vain...

    Levy's Plan

We challenged for the title in 1987 and finished in the top 4 on five occasions in that decade in addition to winning 3 trophies. We also reached numerous semi finals and finals. We won two trophies in the 90s. We didn’t challenge for the title but we did also reach more than one semi final.
  14. Jurgen the German

    Richarlison

I was seriously underwhelmed when we signed him with the view to potentially replace Kane, but enough is enough now. He’s a poor footballer from a technical standpoint. He can’t stay on his feet and his injury record is so so at best.
  15. Jurgen the German

Who is the most hated former player that’s not Judus?

I don’t hate any ex Spurs player but Cundy probably the closest after Campbell, and I don’t even hate him that much anymore. I wish we’d stop singing about him tbh. I really don’t get the hate for Sherwood:l. I know he replaced the board darling AVB, but I genuinely feel there’s a snobbishness...

    Mathys Tel

There isn’t anyone in our attack that is persevere with.
  17. Jurgen the German

    Would relegation be that bad?

Once again, amnesia. We finished 17th in Levy’s last full season in charge, on 38 points. Not 6th, not 9th, not even 12th — 17th. A position we hadn’t finished in decades. Another unwanted hallmark of Levy’s legacy is that he somehow managed to convince a section of the fanbase — especially on...

But the last 7 years since Poch left we have undoubtedly gone backwards, one top 4 finish aside. A manager would not be in the job if he has oversaw that decline over 7 years.

    ***Tottenham v Brentford OMT***

I just don’t get the hype about Tel. He’s bang average.
