Sandro Tonali Official

He's only going to be as good as the players you pair him with. Yesterday he had Bergvall who has tons of glaring holes in his game as a CM (the hype does no where near match his ability) and Gallagher whose best aspects are all when he's not touching the ball. It was a brick midfield with 0 balance, the result was to be expected.

Tend to agree with this, i have never been a big fan of Gallagher and Bergvall seems to have hit the ceiling in his progress. Now i think Bergvall has ability but at the moment he is struggling to show that. Not unsual it such a young player.

Robertson, Gallagher and Bergvall are the players who should be coming on as subs in the second half, as fresh legs and energy against tired(ish) opposition. Not starting unless we have injuries.

I know yesterday was just the first game and some others weren't fully ready for the start of the season for various reasons, so I'm not too worried yet, although disappointed.

The whole back four had never played a competitive match together against premiership opponents, so unsurprisingly they were over ran by a settled Brentford attack. Maybe Danso should have been in there in hindsight. But it will (needs) to show signs of improvement over the next few weeks, some green shoots would be nice quickly...

its strange that we were so lethargic - i didn't think pre season was that tough.
perhaps the medical team has gone to the other extreme being very conservative to prevent injuries.
bentancur for example - came on gleefully fouling players left right centre
tonali has a new baby - maybe that's it

The strange part for me is that everyone has adversity to a level in summer, some more than others. Saudi Sportswashing Machine got picked off and they looked really impressive. I know we are players short and this is not our ideal XI, but there will be times in future when our ideal XI isn't available again. I am not panicked by any of it, but equally I am not just shrugging my shoulders with "it is what it is" attitude either

Rdz just let on in the pre match interview that that were two big clubs bidding for Tonali - Emirates Marketing Project and Chelsea?

Anyway he describes Tonali as a complete and very high quality defender who can play as a 6 or 8.

Btw he credits the owner for having the ambition to pay so much for Tonali and also Lange to have ambitious targets and continuing to put pressure on him for upgrades with good suggestions.

It was City and Man U, Gary Neville was salty as hell on the Monday Night Football, said their primary targets were Anderson, Fernandes and Tonali, the prick then went on to say we have spent all this money and he doesn’t know where it’s gone.

The same Gary Neville who talks tactics but failed miserably as a manager? Can’t take that idiot seriously.

he is a poor professional. no wordd cup and yet so unfit.

yes he wanted to leave Saudi Sportswashing Machine and get the most for them - no problem and he's done that.

but to not be fit and ready for the season, regardless the price tag, is inexcusable.

2 fudging games. This place is a joke.
That maybe so, but we can review what we have seen
And I think passing for most footballers should be a basic skill no? Not asking for perfection.

I know its a new season and new players but us fans have seen this as a continuation. And my concern is if we go into game 5 or 6 and still struggling it's gonna get real toxic.

I hope it gets better but we are not known for stability are we?😀

Don't think he was terrible, he did some very good things the way he broke through the press a few times and yes fudged up some things aswell.

Not in the least bit concerned, he is quality - taking time bedding into a new team is nothing new....

Hi passing was awful, he messed up multiple times
