We aren't playing our new midfield if you think about it. Only Tonali is playing. Bergvall is part of the failed midfield operations of last season and Gallagher doesn't impress as we all know already.

He doesn't really have a choice, he's one of the pivots and we have been pushed back. He's good enough to play as a 10 so he needs to get a grasp of the game in a defensive sense to make a presence.
