Have you actually watched him play?
He can play across the front line, that doesn't mean he has equal ability in every role (he doesn't).
Il take a sportsman’s bet he plays more minutes at RW for us this season than LW.

You're misremembering, he didn't say his favourite was the right. He said he likes playing on the left or right or even the centre. His best performances has been on the right, even for City when you see his most decisive moments they largely come on the left even though he mainly played on the right for them.I posted an interview with him from when he joined City where he said his favoured position is right wing (but happy to play left or through middle) - he must have grown up playing right wing i guess for him to be saying that. Equally after his two years at City he may have reconsidered where he wants to plsy on the pitch
If he plays more on the right he won't impress and all the criticism of the transfer will be justified.Il take a sportsman’s bet he plays more minutes at RW for us this season than LW.

As someone who watched him at Girona and has been very pro this move since we were first linked with him. If our intention is to play him on the right we shouldn't have bothered buying him and he's certainly not worth £75m to us as a RW.
From an interview when he joined City
“My favourite position? I really like playing on the left and right, but I can also play in the middle. [If I had to choose], I really prefer to play on the right wing. But whatever the coach, the boss decides, I will help the team.”
Make it make sense. His best performances has been on the right, when you see his most decisive moments they largely come on the left.
