It’s perfectly reasonable to say we played really well and Everton also didn’t turn up until the last 10-15 minutes of the game.

I disagree with the statement that they didn't turn up it implies they weren't trying, I believe we got cautious and ran out of steam in that heat which allowed them back in the game rather than they forced their way back in the game or just decided they will try.

I think they were on the beach, it’s a real thing. Teams that have nothing to play for on the last day often phone it in. Not saying they were intentionally trying to lose, but if I was an Everton player I would have said to myself why should I run around in 30 degree heat for a game that doesn’t matter to us? I think the weather definitely helped us and West Ham yesterday.

A Spam fan I know summed it up quite poetically - where we were, you are.

And where we are, you will be.

We're on the same path they are, we're just a few years behind them (and a lot richer, so more chances for our lovely owners to stumble out of the pit through sheer luck). But beyond general schadenfreude for the relegation of a club that hates us, I feel sorry for their lot. Because we were dreading the same feeling up to yesterday and it isn't a feeling I'd wish on anyone.
I wholly disagree. We are nowhere near their path.
We have the means to get ourselves out of this mire. Whether we do remains to be seen but we are not in their bracket.

Yeh not even anywhere near the same. Their owners did a job on them, sold their land, took huge payouts, basically asset stripped and done it by saying "we got a free stadium".

Sullivan such a shark that he did a deal where concessions rent land round ground off him, not the club which lines his pockets, was a reason one investor walked
