U23s, Academy and Loanees

Can any of the loan players be included in our squads after this weekend as their seasons are over? Or is there a set calendar date they run to?

We’ve struggled to fill a bench with 10 players of late so would be good to fill up with players that have some first team experience not just youth level

The u21s will probably be registered on our b list (even if on loan). So maybe.

No they're contracted out till the end of the season.

We must have 1 or 2 players from the U21s who are worth a spot on the bench at least to give us some options.

Really disappointed in this episode.
In our current situation and it being the 300th episode I expected the picture to be Steff, milo and Gareth buffed and oiled up like the 300 Spartans.
Gutted!

The gap between u21 and league football is massive, you just need to look at the results of U21 teams in the cup competition they play against lower league sides. Our current team do not have any players who l think could make a difference particularly in our current situation.

Wow, I did nazi that coming; Cheatski are a really excellent team, best in the league, some super talented players, dominating Spurs in the first half.

But we never gave up, good efforts all round including Bloedorn, Rowswell, RARD, Melia and bish bash bosh we're winning 3-1 at their gaff with injury time to play.

Chickens not yet being counted.

Not to be. Brighton looked the better team and we were a tad fortunate to beat Cheatski to get here.
We did miss a few chances, but I think Brighton deserved it. Although they did have an overage player which is a bit of a tinkletake IMO.

One could argue we had loads missing like Olusesi, Moore, Lankshear, LWB, Byfield etc etc but perhaps Brighton can say the same, I don't know.

Mikey Moore just scored in the Old Firm derby
It was a bit of a tap-in from a rebound; he did well to anticipate and get there, but wasn't tricky to slot in.

He is doing well for a kid, but still plays on the edges of games, a bit peripheral to the action. Some players are biting scratching fighting sprinting and he's just off to the side, waiting for the ball to come his way rather than getting really stuck in.

At some point they highlighted he had only had 4 touches in the game, partly because his role seems to be to sit and wait for the ball to come to him, partly because he obviously doesn't win headers against huge centre backs.

He has a lot of skill and touch. He likes to dribble, and is not super fast, so quite often he will beat someone and then get pulled back or hacked down or crunched as 3 players converge on him.

I was a bit surprised he stayed on yesterday. In general I notice Raskin as a better player, when I watch Rangers.

I would expect a 25 year old with 200 games under his belt to be more impressive than 18 year old. He's still learning and we will have to see in next season to get a true picture of his development. Ignore the hype.
