Feel for this kid, giving his all, been not bad last few games and getting treated like brick by Frank
Don't blame him for wanting to leave

I'm hoping there is as a conversation that was had at the time he was put in to replace Solanke that informed him if Solanke was back fit he would be taken out again.Feel for this kid, giving his all, been not bad last few games and getting treated like brick by Frank

Especially after him being taken off on Saturday too which was the wrong call by FrankI'm hoping there is as a conversation that was had at the time he was put in to replace Solanke that informed him if Solanke was back fit he would be taken out again.
Feel for him nonetheless.....
Solanke in surely otherwise why ??He's been removed from the CL list apparently? Seems odd if so.
Solanke in surely otherwise why ??
Sounds more like Thomas chose to bring Big Dom back in:

Solanke returns to UEFA Champions League squad | Tottenham Hotspur
Dominic Solanke has been added to our UEFA Champions League squad ahead of Tuesday’s fixture against Borussia Dortmunds, confirms Thomas Frank.www.tottenhamhotspur.com
"The way the rules are, the only option was it was either Dom or Matty in the squad, I chose Dom. I think Matty has done very well the last couple of games, that’s the crazy thing.
"If I could pick from all the players that are fit, he would start tomorrow. But I can only pick between the two of them and now he’s out of the squad. That’s, of course, a tough one to take for Matty."
Rules say only one temporary replacement during the league phase , so for the moment that's it . When league phase is over then a new squad can be named which will include Gallaher and judging by his performance on Saturday , Biss as well. What is the deal with replacing injured players - now Richy & Davies are out do we have any recourse there?
Yeh as I read it, you have to bring him back in, not sure its a choice, someone will know the rules better than me on here with it.
I'd have let it role as things were for this game.Huh…I was about to come into this thread having not yet read Frank’s comments, because I was certain that the rule was if you replace a player due to injury then once that player is fit enough to be in the squad again they automatically return.
So I thought this wasn’t down to Frank, his hands were tied, and surely the club would be issuing clarification on that point soon.
But no, he genuinely has just picked the guy who probably can’t do 90 minutes over the guy who’s probably shown our most intent in attack in recent weeks. This is just a baffling decision to me.
Maybe he thinks if given 20 minutes Solanke is more likely to get a goal than Tel if both could be thrown on. But I’m not sure that’s so true as to be worth completely alienating our player here.
So Tel can come back in for the next phase?Rules say only one temporary replacement during the league phase , so for the moment that's it . When league phase is over then a new squad can be named which will include Gallaher and judging by his performance on Saturday , Biss as well.
It looks like it, this is on the UEFA site, so with Davies, Johnson and Bentancur out that leaves space for Gallaher, Biss and Tel . "" I Think""So Tel can come back in for the next phase?
Was about to post the same - it's not as if Solanke has done anything of note since returning and isn't fully fit. Really don't see it as worth doing that to Tel again at this stage but hey ho....I'd have let it role as things were for this game.
Then reconsider before Frankfurt once I'd fully seen how Dom was doing
