A top league loan is better than nothing. It is fairly promising that we wanted a top league loan over sending him to the championship. It suggests we think he is essentially first team 11 quality which does match the talk of when we signed him

It was a signing to please the J.League after our match in Tokyo in 2024. Daniel Levy and Scott Munn said they were pushing for us to sign someone when we had our Q&A.
 
in fairness we have a wealth of defensive players coming through and likely made money on the transaction if he does move on permanently.

It is very odd that if he is not rated by the club that he was on the bench last weekend - other players who are cast out/not good enough don't get a look in.

hopefully its a bit of creative journalism erroneous reporting. If Vinai would answer my emails I could ask him - I miss Donna Cullen.
