So, what happened today?

I tried Tinder for the first time today. Everyone is the same! They all like hiking in the mountains, working out and have at least one picture of themselves with a glass of wine. I said "nope" to a whole lot of attractive women.

Brave man, thankfully I'm long married, I'd be terrified of internet/app dating.

Lucky man. After yesterday I feel fairly confident that I'll be alone for the rest of my life. 😂
Tinder is the worst of them tbf. Hinge I'd say is the best app when looking for a genuine connection, Bumble is decent too.

I'd say don't be too judgemental in terms of the pictures posted and what they say in their profile - it's just turned into a really competitive thing this dating malarkey, so everyone feels they have to have their best 'look at me' profile setup. But just 'like' and match with the women you feel attracted to, when talking to them at least some will pleasantly surprise you....

Cheers! I hope Hinge is better. Yeah, it's really weird! Everyone is going for the same thing, it seems. Very few stand out or even appear to be half authentic. Perfect this and that, everyone seemingly doing the same brick. fudge, I want imperfections damnit.

I've somehow gotten talking to a really cute one, so let's see how that goes.

Can you explain why because it's the same in oz be lucky if it even turns up

Deliveries are so good here. Let's say I miss a package and come home at 5pm to a note in my letter box. I can reschedule for delivery the following day, selecting time frames like 8am-12pm, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm etc. Sometimes if you miss a delivery in the morning, you can reschedule it for later that day.

Miss a package in Australia and your options to reschedule are typically "yeah we'll do it sometime in the next few days mate." Or come to your local post office between 10am and 5pm (ie when you're at work) and pick it up.

Deliveries happen every day of the week, right up until 10pm too. Admittedly that's not great for the workers, but man is it convenient. And of course, they're never going to throw your brick on the ground, leave it in an unsafe place or generally be pricks about it.

No such issues in Norway. There aren't any post offices left. Packages can now be collected at selected grocery stores, that are usually open until at least 11pm, or you can chose to get it delivered to self-service package boxes where you use an app on your phone to open the locker. Means you can pick it up whenever you want, and those package boxes are scattered around everywhere, so there's usually one pretty close to everyone.
