Time for a Poch moment, there's some that need ditched and youngsters brought in.
Sarr, Bergvall, gray and xavi should be getting more minutes.
No more hiding behind a defensive, turgid abysmal style.
Do we have a Harry kane lying around ready to go because truthfully for Poch Kane was the biggest difference making. His quality allowed the rest of the side to be at their best.

If you watch and look at detail, not results and get caught up in it, you can see spring shoots. Areas where Frank is improving things. Our ability to play through midfield for example. In possession we are getting better. It is not making a difference yet. But if you have a critical eye you can see signs.

No it doesn't. We saw against PSG Franks tatics can work. It didn't today. We move on.

No, that's just you whinging :)

Who is too negative? Frank or you!

We lost Son, Maddison, Kulu, and we are work in progress. Patience. And try not to undermine the coach.
You genuinely think we play though midfield at all?
Honestly I’ll have what your having mate
Gary Neville was talking constant about out inability to do so and the clear lack of coaching on that
It was so obvious

Back to goal and having to hold up the ball, he just loses cos he not strong enough. If he had to flick it to a runner then he is ok. But we have no runners

he is strong enough, but if you get your body between the ball and the defender, and the defender runs into you, thats a foul

If the best example you can use is PSG where they had only just returned to pre season then that says it all.

Let's see how great it is on Wednesday now their team is more up to speed.....

Ireland played nz in the rugby yesterday and had 12 men for parts of the game
They still had structure and a way of playing that meant they looked like they knew their jobs

Yes.

Sides have seen that they can successfully stifle us by closing us down hard. As united did, as Bournmouth did, and the goons did. But they can't do it all game. We didn't have the anwer yet, but in all of these games, including today, space opened up towards the end of the game, and we showed more ability on the ball, and ability to pass through midfield.

Our attack is still underpowered, unfamiliar and lacking confidence (and quality).

...and you respect him :tearsofjoy:
It was so obvious

The work Frank is doing isn't obvious. But it is there, and you can see it, even if results and our play aren't perfect. Patience.

Just a small thought... the player who won the game could have been playing in lilly white if our hopeless management had the balls to fork out the release clause early in the summer....

I respect a player who has achieved what Neville did
He won everything multiple times
He won’t have time because he won’t last
Right now he has to worry about how many defenders to play at PSG

If I'm being fair to TF I think he wanted us to keep it tight initially and I'm sure he would have changed it up if we had managed that. Problem is all the outfield players bar Palhinha were absolutely off their game. They showed a frighteningly weak mentality out there.

it's mistakes, Udogie switching off for that first goal, thats all it took

second was a shocker, should never have stood

3rd embarrassing, not ready, not awake

4th just as bad, so many players out of position

Were they off their game or lost in a system they didn’t know and couldn’t play
The mentality is the same every time we play them there

not true

as soon as Palace actually accepted our bid, Eze himself called Arteta and begged him to come get him

he never wanted to play for us, it was never going to happen

He literally phoned Arteta to plead for a transfer when it looked like we were his only suitors towards the end of the window - i doubt moving earlier would have made a difference

100%. They got Eze, we got Xavi. One is ready to go and just won them the game, the other isn’t and didn’t.

Tells you everything.

How we could’ve done with his or Gibbs-White’s winning mentality this season.

Hopefully don Paratici has another Kulusevski level signing for January to immediately elevate our attack.

OR he would have just hung on and waited for Arsenal anyway.

We just don't have the pull for players. The Europa League win has helped, but I think Eze would hold out for Arsenal even if we did trigger the release.

OK.
Does. That. Permit.The. Manager. To.Set.Up. So. Pathetically. Negatively...?

You keep on saying what we don't have. We know what we don't have.

I live my life focussing on what I DO have.

Frank is setting us up in fear. He does NOT have to.
No of course not. Today's performance was brick. Primarily for me because he decided to play 3 at the back, a system that 99% of the time will turn into 5 at the back exacerbated if you don't have dominant CMs (we don't).

I look at the problems because the way to improve is to fix the areas that are faulty, you can't improve if you only look at the things you think already work. They don't need work, they already work.

If you prefer to focus on what we do have imo its not much. I get that we probably disagree on that, because you rate a lot of things more highly than I do but I would counter that reality tends to line up more with my ratings then they do with yours as evidenced by our results in general over the last 5 years and days like today.
