90sSpursBook
Erik Edman
Hi everyone,
For those who didn't hear the discussion on the podcast I've now had my second Spurs book published. Hot Shot Tottenham covers Spurs' journey through the 1980s providing a season-by-season narrative of each season covering all the major players and events (on and off the field). It includes memories and recollections from players (Perryman, Clive Allen, Tony Parks, Vinny Samways, Terry Gibson, Guy Butters) and supporters (including our very own @thfcsteff among others).
Both my books are available to purchase directly from me here - https://90sspursbook.square.site/ or you'll find on Amazon, Waterstones etc. Kindle version available Amazon too.
I know many of you lived through the 80s and will have first hand memories so I really hope I've done the decade justice. A few things that fascinated me that are covered:
1. How Irving Scholar acquired the shares to buy the club
2. How successful our youth set-up in producing SO many 1st players (39 of the 83 players who appeared in the first team had come through our youth team!)
3. The sheer emotion and euphoria of that 81 Replay and 84 UEFA Cup Final.
4. How close we came to winning the League Title in '85.
5. The complicated situation surrounding the Shelf redevelopment
