*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton & Hove Albion FC ***

Odebert has contributed Johnson numbers.
I really want Odobert to work out, but yeah he didn't do much although he had some involvement in our goal and a few if the possession moments in the Brighton's box. I wouldn't say that's enough though, he's had a reasonable amount of the ball and done not a great deal.

Brighton are a very dangerous side. I actually think we've done pretty well here, despite the score line. A couple of 50/50 decisions go our way and we are probably winning. The lack of striking options looks like the thing that is going to plague us early season.
We've striking options, two of them are injured though.

personally, very happy with that. Performance was good.

We're still a bit green/naive - other teams work the ref better. But how Kudus was pulled up when clean through, for them to barge over Odobert to break, and to go down with drama at a high challange, while a worse high kick on Udogie isn't anything, he doesn't fall over...

Vic was crap for the 2nd. And what was Bergval doing? Rici is down, put the ball out!!! A bit green, and these things cost goals. Good play from us tho, and as expected we're unpolished, but signs are good.

No, it's a contact sport your bodies are allowed to touch each other otherwise your hero Lamela would have been sent off every game.

Yes. It is a contact sport. However look at that specific incident and tell me how Richarlison is meant to stay on his feet?!!!

Think we've been the better side but not the most dangerous. Not sure if those are mutually exclusive or not though.
One counter and one sleeping Vicaro, apart from that we've been the better team. We still lack offensively though, Richarlison is a proper footballer but not a reliable target man or a good enough (lone) striker for a team with serious ambitions.

I think the Kudus one was worse. We definitely would have scored there, we had Kudus totally free and two men over and I didn't see anything like a foul unless there was a clip.
It wasn't a foul, Kudus didn't even impede their player. The defender totally misjudged the flight and Kudus just stood up strong and took the ball from the air. On first glance it might have looked like a foul but if the ref hasn't called it and we had scored theres no way VAR would have pulled it back. Basically we got bumped because the ref totally misread what happened. Which is frustrating in the VAR era.

It was one where the advantage to us looked so outrageously huge (though fair) the ref thought he had to call a foul. Like how it used to be when a last man got tackled (fairly or not).

Doing alright given that we’re playing with 10 men.

Richie - lovely bloke, Championship level footballer.
I think he has the skills, but he also has a Pavlyuchenko-level tendency to be slightly off. He's a premiership footballer but a championship striker.

For their goal; Richie was falling back with his butt about 2ft from the floor, when the Brighton defender nudged into his back which happens with EVERY ball up the pitch.
It hurt Richie because it was "knee to coccyx" but that's because Richie was so near the floor. He needs to man up and bully the defence.
