The Emirates Marketing Project PSR bit - clear load of gonads. How on earth could this ‘ITK’ know that?

I absolutely believe that there was a confidential release clause. However it would be impossible for anyone to prove that had been divulged. I think far more likely is that the transfer didn’t happen because we had made an illegal approach. We directly spoke to the player without the permission of Forest. It was telling that we went very quiet after Forest threatened to report us to the PL for this. I believe that fearing a fine and transfer ban, we then backed off and allowed Forest to negotiate a new contract with the player.
I suspect MGWs new contract offer paid him more than we were offering, hence him signing that new contract pretty quickly.

Don’t remember the club ever making any noises or come at about MGW at any point

But I do think the clubs lack of noise at the time said a lot

The last guy to talk from the press was the clubs normal mouthpiece in Ally Gold
Yet we had spurs fans saying why aren’t the club saying something…. About a player we didn’t own

That the club isn’t getting involved in a public spat
Leave that to Forrest
Tottenham, like most clubs just doesn’t do it
Parrish yesterday after the game for palace, classic example of why chairman and clubs should say nothing
Seen it at forest with their constant “thanks Mr Owner”
Weird and not what proper clubs do
The only senior football figure I’ve heard talk and come across so well is the Brighton guy (not the owner) Paul Barber where he makes jokes about Chelsea being his favourite customer
Smart clubs just do the business of stay quiet
In this case, like eze we haven’t said a thing and just let the press do their thing for clicks and giggles

On a sidenote i do fear the media intrusion into football is going to next levels this season with all the interviews at HT and talk of having cameras in the dressing room for some games etc.
I guess the media will say "well we pay all this money, we demand what we want for it"
