Transfer thread

You got all that about solomon from 5 games?

I think I watched about every minute of our pre-season when he joined. I remember seeing moments when he missed that golden opportunity to pass to a team mate or cross the ball. Then Perisic would replace him and perhaps make it look a little more exaggerated. I also watch local football with a Fulham season ticket holder. He was questioning his end product as well when he was with them. That being said, he had an injury for them and I'm not sure they saw the best of him.

He's clearly just had an amazing season in the Championship though. Players do mature.

I think he got on well and would be happy to stay. But Juve can't afford his fee and signed Jonathan David on a free instead.
Yeah signing David could mean they took him instead. Saying that though, They seem to be desperately trying offload Vlahovic to anyone that they can, So maybe getting rid of him would allow Muani to join?

That's because he is a championship level player. Lacks that little extra to make him a hit at higher levels.

I think that is the key topic. We've had a single pre-season and a few games in our colours. Fulham had him on loan in an injury ravaged season and didn't get too many proof points either,

My instinct is that he's probably a PL player but not a top 6 player. I could genuinely see why we would get offers for him, even from the more aspirational Championship sides.

I know they want rid of Vlahovic, but I'm not sure Muani and David are a complementary pair, they are a bit too similar (Muani is much better though). Vlahovic is a static focal point forward, whilst the other two are more runners from deep or wide.

I find Solomon an interesting one. To me at least he looked decent when he first came here pre injury, created some chances and a couple of assists. He looked pretty impressive in the Championship, the type of player you can take a punt on to continue to improve in the PL.

My gut tells me he will be sold, that being said I wouldn't mind if Frank wants to keep hold of him and sees some use for him. Either way, I think he's good enough to make it as a PL player....

He was good for Fulham in the Prem itself as well.

Not sure he makes it with us but does offer something a bit different, likes to cut inside and shoot from outside the box which we haven’t seen happen for a couple of years..

He's fantastic physically, strong, fast, great touch, good control, not exactly a dribbler but can definitely beat a man with the ball at his feet. Can also genuinely play all across the front line, LWF, RWF and striker.

I'm quite a fan as I said last year, he's a real handful. Him and Solanke would be a really good pair to draw from.
Just a bit
And both work their arses off

Liverpool buying one of Newcastles replacement targets probably didn’t help much and added quite a few mill to the price, bit of an og that from Pool. Unless they’re not bothered about the extra £££ which could be the case ofcourse.
