Transfer thread

Very interesting transfer window actually.

Mildly concerned about Udogie's lack of cover as the only squad hole, but I am loving the strategy to make MGW and Wharton the next 2 signings after Kudus. What Spurs fans wouldn't be happy with that trio of signings? I still hope we don't have to compromise and move to the next list of targets. We're clearly in a quiet period until something changes with MGW. I have a feeling the Wharton energy will ramp up when we can see the colour of another club's money for a couple of our outgoings.

Said this a while back but the 25/26 season heroes will already be at the club. The biggest impact will come from the Frank and his coaches. Probably way bigger than any signing we can make in August.

It's a nice position to be in as a club. Way different than many summers past.

I dont think there's any sense that either i) we have the funds for Wharton or ii) we've had any encouragement from either the player or club. It seems set he'll be off to Liverpool in a years time.

I think MGW will be our last big transfer (that will be over the £200 mark on 5 players).

I think late August we could possibly expect Paulina on loan and maybe an Odobert profile CF, depending on Frank's assessment of Biss and Richy on tour

MGW, Wharton and a backup for Udogie would be an excellent window for us. I don't see us getting Wharton though. Beginning to doubt the MGW one as well. Less than a month to the league starts, so hope we can get a few through before then.

Yeah, you're probably right about Wharton. Not sure we're ready for Declan Rice level signings yet as a club.

100m ish million on a DM for us would be madness imo. Our first 11 is far from complete and that kind of spending is what you do when you fitting the final cog or piece and we are at the very minimum a season and more realistically at least 2 if everything goes well from being a 1 final piece team.

I absolutely want a DM this summer but if we are going to spend 100m odd it should go towards a striker who ups the level of our goal threat. I'd rather though split those fees across both roles imo because I think you can get a very DM for a lot less than 100m and an up and coming forward with the change.

I'm wondering if VDV is seen as Udogies cover and that's why we've been linked to another CB

I think we are Quality CB short from having a complete set anyway, without VDV being LB cover

That would be a good window but id like us to be a decent striker to compete with Solanke.
