Damn. Even Norway's top league is fully professional. That's just ridiculous. Happy for him to get to experience it though, obviously.
The factors that led to Salzburg qualifying are:It's the CL winners from 21 to 24 and 8 other teams selected by a ranking system and each country is limited to two teams. This year an additional team has qualified through their rank since Real have won two CLs. At first I thought it would be the UEFA club coefficient for the same years, but somehow Red Bull Salzburg are there despite multiple teams from other leagues being better than them. It seems FIFA have their own coefficient that was used. Absolutely nothing dodgy happening here.
Whaaoooo there...... anyone seen my bucket hat and Nokia 3410....Pointless waste of time. Happened across a couple of minutes of James Richardson on Channel 5 on Sunday afternoon trying to convince the 8 viewers tuning in that Auckland v Bayern meant something, poor bastard.
Can't blame Channel 5 for trying to promote it. Unfortunately, if they are successful, they won't get to show the next one.
Yes, it is failing rather nicely. However, there is a lot of money for the winners and both Real and PSG are serious about winning. Their parading the world club champions title may help it gain acceptance over the next few years. FIFA don't give up on bad ideas easily.
As long as PSG are overcooked on 13 August I don’t really care.PSG are both serious and doing FIFA a favour, 4-0 at HT against Messi's MLS side, they could have made it 10+, backed off and let it go.
The real question is how is this extended season going to affect the big clubs, are City, PSG, Real going to go into next season overcooked?
