*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace FC ***

Your perspective of my viewpoint is yours.
I cannot deny that.
What I can say is that it is lazy and uninformed.

BTW I believe there are NO excuses; I do, however, believe in searching for reasons.
I agree with searching for the reasons. If you've ever read any of my posts regarding the tactical setup it's clear I think there are plenty of reasons for our failings, it's just that they largely come from the philosophy and implementation of the manager himself in my opinion.

And you didn't address my point about the positive comments. Repeat commentary is only even mentioned when it's negative never when it's positive.

Hmm I just live in reality. I don't watch through the prism of emotion or the hope that things are better than what I can actually see with my eyes. As I said earlier if some fans want to be Mr Positive then cool you won't even see me criticise them I just don't understand why those same fans have issue with the other group who are able to accept the reality of what we can see with our own eyes.

if we play well I'll say it and if we play brick guess what I'll say that too. I feel no shame in admitting the truth. It's no knock on my pride that I have to be honest and admit we are awful this season. Again though if you want to be Mr Positive feel free, you do you.

Haha, sorry to break it, but you are in denial.
You absolutely DO watch through a prism of your own emotion, and further, you cast judgements which don't match up.
EVERYONE sees it has been very poor. EVERYONE sees today was another poor league performance.
Not EVERYONE sees the need to repeat the same old criticisms.
Ray Charles could see where our issues currently lie, the club know, come summer action will be taken, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief and move on.

You complained that people are not able to discuss the game. Well discuss it. Palace made two changes, we made 8 and played 75% of the match without a stitch of creativity in midfield. Our back 5 had one player from Thursday. Our front three lacked a CF.
Sorry, it was always going to be ropey. Fact. Is is right? No. It's poor. Is it a fact that everyone at the club only cares about one match at this point? Yes.

@Bishop ...is anything I've said above 'happy clapping'? No. It's seeing the wood for the trees.
My observation was that I don't think we played much worse than we have throughout the season so in my opinion the changes affected us less than the tactical setup.

Further if you're saying that cause of the 8 changes and lack of creativity was a contributing factor, don't you think the manager should have then made tactical alterations to alleviate these factors.

Why did it need addressing?

Fairly shambolic getting dingdonged at home by Palace. Thought we were dreadful.

I’ll hold my tongue there because everything clearly hinges on the final. The difference a win and a loss makes to Ange’s legacy here…I don’t remember anything like it in my lifetime. He either gets remembered as the guy who broke a 17 year trophy drought or dragged us to 17th in the table.

Either way, I think he only has 3 games left with us. All I want is one win.

I think that's a very fair point. And I don't disagree he should've on the second point. For me, the facts appear to be that he only cares about one game and this was like a friendly in terms of just putting minutes in legs. Personally I'd love to have some winning momentum - any win - but we are where we are.

We've actually shown all season winning momentum has zero affect on European results

Further to that then, do you believe his position can be salvaged. Cause the two points for me are reasons I don't think he should be manager next season.

Ignore the other part of our discussion mate. It's not important, we're here to discuss football.

I didn't say you were a happy clapper and I even used the conditional "may" to indicate that might not be your stance.

All those things you mentioned are true but they are all choices and therefore not excuses for ropey play. If you make that number of changes and your tactics rely upon the specific physical attributes of a particular player and you don't have that player available am I supposed to positively accept the results? Your tactical setup doesn't work, you know it doesn't work, we know it doesn't work and the opposition know it doesn't work. Our manager being unable to adjust is context but doesn't make the answer any different.
