Ange giving it back to the fans who chanted Levy out stuff has given him an extra 6 months

I think there is a clause that gives Levy the right to sack without paying the rest of his contract if he misses European qualification. The day we no longer can get Europa that day Ange will get the sack.

And no, my beef is not because I'm worried about Ange. I'm sure he can handle it. It's because I don't think it's helpful to Spurs. That's it. Calling someone a Fatboy and saying someone doesn't know what they are doing because they are failing at the job in hand are quite different. One is a personal insult aimed at a person's appearance the other is an analysis of their ability albeit a curiosity and dismissive take but still a take on something that isn't personally aimed.

I’m talking about the effect these things have on Spurs. Confidence is already rock bottom. The players look brick scared to make any passes. Who can blame them? They know they’re not far away from the ridicule themselves.

That is not going to help us win games. That is not going to help us win the Europa League. That is all I fudging care about. Not Ange Postecoglou’s pride or personal feelings. I want Spurs to win.

Yes it’s definately not Ange who’s to blame here. It’s the fans changing “you dont know what you’re doing” as we head to our 16th league defeat of the season

Chanting you don’t know what you’re doing at someone may or may not be personal, I happen to think it is. Calling someone a clam, as many have done in this thread, is most certainly personal and bang out of order regardless of how passionate we are

He’s almost certainly gone in the summer, if not before, I wish we could all get behind him and the team regardless up to then, for the good of the club and the players if nothing else

I believe it is so that Ange cannot come back and say "Well I always do win something in my 2nd season but they didnt give me a chance". We will get knocked out and he will get sacked. Until we play those games Levy wont want to make the mistake again like he did with Mourinho, even though he should have sacked Ange ages ago and it wouldnt be a mistake. That's what I think, anyway, but could be utter flimflam and Ange could just have naked photos of Levy with Lewis or something on a yacht near Epstein Island.
 
I can't believe you guys are actually mystified why Levy likes Ange.
Ange is the first manager I can remember that goes out to bat in pressers for Levy and the club's policy.
Conte, Mourinho, Poch, Sherwood even AVB all complained about transfers and what they had to work with.

We went the whole way through January without signing a centre half until the end and Ange didn't say a word about it publicly

There is absolutely no point doing that. The away fans do get behind the team, every game. But the performances are consistently shocking and as posters have said above, we are having like 2 shots per game on target if that. It is awful. The fans have their right to moan and shout crap at everyone at the end of the game. It's not like its a one off. It is unacceptable performances every single game, and that is not an exaggeration.

I think it could be because he went from £160,000 a month to £400,000 a month and is stealing a living.

Exactly. Prematurely got rid of previous managers who had a lot more credit in the bank. The one time he sticks with a manager is with Ange 😂

I agree it’s not acceptable but I don’t understand claiming there’s no point in actively getting behind the team, especially when we’re still in a major cup competition and have many players we want to keep hold of, regardless of the future of the manager

No, I didnt mean there isnt any point during the game. But at the end of the game, when the most likely outcome is we have played poorly going on the last 18 months, then fans have their right to vent their frustration. TBH though, there isnt much to cheer throughout the game anyway, and positively cheering or encouraging doesnt seem to have that much of an effect on this team because they play so negatively and poorly anyway.
