Any shift in tactical system that will get us to win Europa will have to start to be implemented now(ish).

I don't see us changing the way we play, especially with a full squad now, so it really is the final test of whether his idea can succeed.

Personally I think the first team we play that are semi clinical and direct with their passing we'll come unstuck.

Got to hope we are clinical too and can pass well

ange should be in a position now to rotate players. gray for CB, odobert, son and johnson on the wings, lots in the centre of midfield and spence/gray/udogie/porro wingbacks. IF we don't get any more injuries.

a tighter and more compact playing style from front to back will be helpful to give players more support and need to cover ground everywhere. also it suits our fast attackers. yeah a bit more counter attacking football with fullbacks joining attack less frequently would work IMO. but will ange?
compact style acting as a counter attacking team like when we smashed Emirates Marketing Project 4-0? But otherwise, when teams aren't dominating us, we have to be on the front foot, and press as a team, Ange wants us to impose our style on the oppos. But always, always, we have to watch our back when everyone is pushing up - like Isak and Gordon at Toons, Ollie watkins at villa etc, they will race away and pick us off. Having Romero and Vdv makes such a difference.

Back to in now as think we have a good chance of winning the Europa and a trophy is something no one has ever done before in the life of the Tottingham Hotspurs.

Fickle yes, less drastic maybe, still a cnut, oh yes. That's me by the way not you lot.
I think you overrate the Spurs squad. I don't make us favourites. There are some very good teams left in the competition. We will do well to focus on the game in front of us. We strive to beat them. If we succeed, we move to the next one.

That's a reoccurring theme with most of our European games, apart from about 10 teams the rest are perceived as "pig farmers" or play at EFL level.

The thing we have to put in at least a good show from us. The games are going to get more difficult,o get more. I do think we have a chance to well in the EL but we need to better prepare for relay the opposition are going to do, so that means being more aware of the switch pass to into our open FB spaces.

Kulusevski: "I want to fight for him, he's the right man. I really, really like him a lot. His tactics, his mentality, that's the guy you want to work with!"

Micky van de Ven: “We all have the trust in the gaffer and the team” “I think he's a top manager. He's really clear in what he wants and sticks to his principles.”

Djed Spence: “the manager has our full support. We are all behind him and we want to show that by winning games.” “He’s the manager and we are a team and a family,….We all fight for him at the end of the day”

Son: “I'm all in. I'm loving the way he wants to play. It's the first time I've experienced it.”

Vicario: “We are fully behind him and very committed to doing that. I think we have proved that when we are 100% focused and committed, we can show what we are capable of.”

Cuti Romero: “He's a great coach. We saw it in the first season.” “We are very happy with this staff, me and my colleagues. We love how they work and the football they try to play.”

Archie Gray: “I always trust the manager. He knows best and wherever he thinks to put me on the pitch or bring me on in the game, I’ll back that 100 per cent”

Pedro Porro: “The gaffer and the team are together, this is important”

James Maddison :"The gaffer is a good man, first and foremost. The first thing he said to us on one of his first days was 'be a decent human being and we'll get along fine'. That's one of his morals and you can tell by the way he carries himself and he speaks to people that he's a good man.
He's open, he's honest and he's straight to the point. He's very direct and there's no mucking about. That's just refreshing. You don't want managers who are giving mixed messages and having favorites. He's a good, hard-working man, which is the foundation that he bases his teams off. It's infectious to us players."

Well we only have Dragusin, Danso and Richi missing right now. Obviously, a few are feeling their way back as well. Player availability and fatigue for me isn't such an issue with a squad as big as ours. Levy doesn't spend as much as he has to even hear that excuse with this squad once it has normal levels of injuries. I wouldn't if I were him.

As for your second point, I think that is what we're all intrigued to see whether Ange can solve. If he doesn't find tactical ways to bring it down to normal levels, then he isn't the right man for the job in my opinion.

Looks like Fulham's recent form is about either winning or losing. They're there for the taking, even though I'd have them as favourites.

Deki? A rather important player...

If we can keep the core of our side fit now, if that spine can bed in and find itself again, we will have many more moments like that brilliant team goal. I have no clue whatsoever if we will win it (my feeling is no) but there is no doubt we can.

Good for them.
Results should be the metric - not comfort.
I'm sure most of them love how he wants to play, it will be fun. You know who else loves how he plays....the opposition midfield and forwards.

Yes.

When teams are not dominating us we shouldn't be in a hurry to get our fullbacks in attack.

Maybe one at a time with more deliberate rotation in the midfield that keeps the structure intact in case of losing possession which causes panic all the time.

Our style has to change, Ange ball's advantage is in outrunning the opposition, and until we get bionic hamstrings, it's not gonna work in the epl.

That reads a bit like when hostages are lined up to say they are being treated very well and they sympathise with the noble cause of their captors

Come on Steff, dont be a negative fcuk!!!!

Im with you though, We can win it if everything goes our way, but feel we will not sadly.

Who the f knows though.

"Results should be the metric" says Barry. In which case, I give you:

He’s lost 3 out of 5 games with a mid table team he has arguably playing over their skill level (with a lot of injuries, mind!), so based on those five games he isn’t fit to coach a team aiming to be top 4? Not saying he’s good enough for our ambitions nor that we should hire him, I just find that argument a bit odd.
