What I saw of Donley he was outstanding, passing movement and scoring. Reminded me of Sheringham.

His passing is excellent
He also wins the balls well
Never seen him over exerted with running when I’ve watched him, but he was always the best player on the pitch

I think that's an excellent comparison of the player, I saw Sherringham play for Millwall res. as a kid and wrote to El Tel about him being an outstanding young player

One thing I noticed when I watched all the pre-season games, we looked a better side with more of the youth team players playing.

When Donley, Devine, More et al were playing, we played some great attacking football. When the more senior players came on, we looked far worse.

Of course, but you still expect the players to not be toffee.

And after the end of last season, we certainly needed to some serious improvement in the starting 11. Which has utterly failed to materialise.

Loan him to the championship and he can with Moore and Bergval be part of a really good spurs team in 3 years time.

Yes because they give their absolute all whereas the established pros play at 50%

When the established pros step up to 100% for the real games you then see the youngsters struggling again.

Donley was a standout talent in last year's U21s, supplying lots of Lankshear's goals with deft passes, so could really thrive amongst clever team mates. I hope his stamina and pace are good enough so he can claim some first team game time.
