Strange question - when was the last time a Poch side showed an effective press?

Weren’t they brilliant together at Barca? This is a tough one for Poch because expectations are almost unrealistic but he has all the tools here to dominate. From Wimmer and N’jie to Messi and Ramos.

When you're u boil it down he's realistically got to focus on 6 or 7 CL games...that is their whole season. They're are very capable but so are City Bayern Chelsea Madrid's etc, so a little luck will still be needed.

I'm sure Ligue 1 and the French cup will take care of itself.

A strong argument can be made that Poch is the first proper coach Messi will have worked with since Rijkaard.

I’m more interested in the impact of Poch on Messi.

If Poch can get him to track back and do some defensive work he might be a real player.
