The draw has been very kind to England, if they cannot get out of that group, we have problems.

I think that Southgate has done a good job so far and has mainly made the right decisions. He hasn't dodged tough decisions and has set up a style of play which should suit tournament football. I doubt that he wanted to include Wellbeck or Cahill but his hand was forced a little by injuries.

It's the worst England squad since 92-94 imo. They should get out of the group but expectations shouldn't go beyond that

It’s a decent squad given what Southgate has to choose from.
The problem with England will always be the expectation. We fail at a tournament, manager gets sacked/resigns. Everyone says we need to go back to basics, rebuild and aim for success not at the next tournament but the one after. And then the next tournament comes along, and the expectation is the same as it always is. There really isn’t any time allowed for rebuilding.
Is it the same for other countries?

No. Everyone else is either good or they know they're not.

Got it in one.
