Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

fudge the muppets on RAWK - they don't run the club

We have posters on here who genuinenly believe Jose Mourinho is an attainable target . Does that make it true or mean Levy would sign him?

If the Board is considering youngsters such as Martinez and Rodgers surely they'd be prepared to work through the potential transitional season and offer financial support for their targets. KK was never in touch with modern reality as far as I'm concerned

If anything - the Roy debacle should have taught them a bitter lesson

To suggest they'd be looking to offer a young manager long term contract only to undermine and boot him 5 months later is very, very, very far fetched for the lack of better wording. Or also known as flimflam, imv

Logically you are correct, practically I dont think you are.

You know full well when the crowd turns, despite the best of intentions, a managers is on his way out.

That crowd is completely unreasonable. And would not accept Rodgers, Martinez or alike at all.

Steve Kean disagrees!

To me - if they're delivering results, the crowd would turn and buy some credits for potential future dark spells of poor results. Insurance in a way.

Look at Arry this season - most of what the pro-camp disciples have been referring to is - our earlier run of title-challenging form. That is seen as large enough leverage to justify the subsequent relegation form string of 10-odd games.

Results have a massive impact on fans perception even if the brake pads are worn and the engine needs urgent servicing

Nah, not that lot. They would go quiet while the sun shines, but be out in force the second a cloud comes across.

Any manager that is not Benitez or with an undisputed reputation is on borrowed time from the moment he goes into that club.

Liverpool are a special case, that needs to be remembered.

With us, as a contrast, many fans would be against Rodgers (or alike) coming in but I believe would support him if he made the right moves with the team. Levy would support him (he loves the young "up and coming" side of football).

We would take bad results as long as the football was good as well (which I think Rodgers certainly is) and we could see progress being made.

Congratulations to #EFC, who finished ahead of #LFC by minus-one trophies, minus-two Wembley appearances and minus-one places in Europe

quite funny that Brendan Rodgers has turned down the chance to Speak to Liverpoo!!!! Find it quite funny that a manager of Swansea wouldnt want to go there!

Or maybe Rodgers knows that he's being lined up for a role at a bigger club(?)

ave to be honest, i understand what people are saying with regards to the obstacles that would face pep

but the combo of the barca coach and their DoF would be pretty strong

the Dof knowing exactly what player to get for the coach..and guardiola coaching them into it.

they'd even look into starting from the kids up IMO

I think in football certain managers "fit" certain clubs. Wenger at Arsenal for example was a perfect fit, at Liverpool or Utd? No, not for me.

Rodgers seems quite aware to me, I think he is waiting for an opportunity where he will "fit" and is smart enough to recognize Liverpool isnt it.

Of course Rodgers turned them down. He looked at the squad and saw that Aquilani is the only player Liverpool own that can pass the ball and retain possession in the way that he'd want.

From what I've read he hasn't turned them down, just refused to be part of their interview process and be seen by Swansea fans to be chasing other jobs.

he says that Liverpool should know enough about him from the league season and their 1-0 win at Anfield. If they then want to pursue him as their first choice option based on that he might listen but he doesn't want to be kittend out by the Scouse media as one of their many options.

I hope everyone on their list turns them down. Oh, how I would laugh at their despair. Besides, they still have Rafa sat by the phone waiting for a call.

There were rumours during the season that Rodgers himself was unsure whether he was ready for a big job. It shows a lot of maturity and self-confidence to come to that conclusion and turn down a chance at such a big club.

The only place i've read this is on liverpool forums... Not exactly reputable..

Edit: And none of them want to say where they've heard it.

Wow. First day on the job I think? Nice.

Liverpool always have to be in the spotlight about something, wither its supporting racism etc they will drag this the fudge out to keep themselves in the spotlight.
