But he assembled the squad and spent millions in the process?! How can that not be anything but failure? ?ú50m on midfielders? ?ú60m on strikers? Two seasons? And with all his inherited players? Sorry, that's absolutely rubbish.

It was a sarcastic dig at his inability to sign players. Of course, if you spend ?ú100m or so you expect more than 8th, but when you sign it on that....

It's truely shocking the level of support he receives compared to his actual ability, all because he did some door knocking a quarter of a century ago. I hope he stays until he falls over.
