Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

I probably just should have resisted checking in on this thread but I'm always amazed by how much bitterness there is aimed at Liverpool FC and their fans on here.

Should we really be mocking a club for only winning two trophies this season? Being glad they didn't get the quadruple is fair enough, I feel that way but to even be in contention for it is an achievement.

The mass generalizations of a huge number of people and the eagerness to flippantly bring up disasters where people lost their lives to score "internet points"... Nevermind this collective acceptance of what currently amounts to a conspiracy theory to conveniently take away any credit.

Who am I to judge on where people get their kicks from and I'm sure it's the same on forums of a lot of different teams but this thread isn't exactly a glowing example of how great this place is.

Whatever enables @scaramanga to stick with his view on Henderson not being a footballer I guess, half the man's trophy haul this season is equal to ours as a club in 14 years.

Well said.

No but you were blaming fans for being disproportionately harsh in their views where I cam arguing that maybe people see them in their true light.

Or maybe sending Gerrard death threats or Evra who was a victim of racial abuse is the norm....

You might not want to think too much about Sol Campbell…again, I have personally told abusers around me to shut the fudge up. All clubs have their tossers mate…

It seems the research people are doing is the research that backs their argument and not the full picture.

As opposed to the anti-Liverpool confirmation bias we’re seeing in this thread/other places on the internet? Hahahahahahaha…please, give me a break.

Exactly this, its not hard for people to understand this is the point, and no one is besmirching a whole are of people just the makings of their fanbase despite what splinter says.

This is a fanbase that has sent death threats to its star players and a victim of racial abuse at the hands of one of their players, who have broken into numerous games and caused all sorts of issues for the English game, but because some people, including the press feel we are at some kind of deficit with Liverpool still because of the 80s, it can't be mentioned. You could even argue todays memorial of Heysel was over shadowed because the club wanted to celebrate a returning team today...

I think, honestly, this whole thing is so far beyond balance that it has become impossible to discuss rationally. The flood to keyboards after yesterday’s news was disgraceful IMO, and there exists (both in this forum and in general) an anti-Liverpool/scouser mentality that cannot wait to jump out and express itself. I am not aiming that directly at you mate, it is just a general statement.

I am amazed that there are still some fans who try to make excuses for the Liverpool fans. They cause mayham whenever they go abroad and the history is there if those defenders want to really find it.

Their long-standing reputation precedes them and nothing seen at Stade de France diminished that. They have long celebrated the 'blag' culture that has been entrenched in the club's fanbase since they were smashing shops in Europe in the '70s and '80s. And I have not remotely touched on the frenzied mob activity of their fans that directly led to so many deaths.

If security forces in Europe react harshly, they have only themselves to blame.

Sources? For '70s and '80s? What is the 'blag culture?' And which 'frenzied mob activity that directly led to so many deaths' have you 'not remotely touched on?' Go on, touch on it, enquiring minds want to know...

Have you ever been to any major football match/final, let alone the Stade de France? Get back to me when you actually have some semblance of experience beyond your own febrile (yet ‘proudly displayed’) anti-Northern/anti-Liverpool and, indeed, anti-working class garbage.
Of course I have. The only time I've ever felt the police did a poor job was away at Chelsea.

I've never been treated like a scouser because I'm not a scouser. It's always them.

In your ignorant view yes it appears to be. Was George Floyd a scouser too? Asking for a friend.

This situation was the perfect storm which luckily did not lead to any deaths, on one side you have the French police who do like a bit of crowd control aggro and on the other a group of people with no regard to law and order or safety infiltrating a large crowd to get what they want. It's not a Liverpool thing it happens a lot all round the world, demos have always been hi-jacked and football crowds offer a great opportunity for this. I agree its disgrace the way the police react, but its virtually impossible to control irrational people without some physical action, what's the alternative just let them get on with it?

Here's a list of teams in CL finals this hasn't happened to in recent years:
Real, City, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, Spurs, Juve, Atletico, Barca, Dortmund, Utd, Milan.

Here's a list of teams it has happened to:
Liverpool.

2005, 2007, 2018, 2019 - CL Finals featuring Liverpool. None had problems.

Your confirmation bias is pathetic. Your continual inability to apply context to situations remains sociopathic. Hillsborough? You have not got a clue. Not one. You make a joke out of hating Northerners and Liverpool but it isn’t a joke, you really do. It’s tired, ignorant, bricky and I’m here all day to keep calling you out on it.

A great start would be people understanding a little more of what you’ve said (with regards to perfect storms) and employing a little less lazy application of false narratives to suit jealous prejudices…

A general word about fake tickets. In 2019 (and I am sure some of you know this) some people bought tickets from 3rd parties which either turned out to be false or duplicates which, when scanned once, meant the barcode could not be scanned again. This is a big issue which UEFA continually manages to fudge up/not get to grips with properly. Add that to locals rushing the fences and slipping cash to ‘mates’ working the gates/access points (this resurrected itself at the Euros last season) and the disaster recipe is there.

I guarantee similar could well happen to us in the CL next season. Much more aggressive policing added to a Euro frustration over Brexit plus the harder times could equal much more of this. Anyone who has watched the French league this past season will have seen lots of crowd violence. So these guys/police aren’t messing around.

I meant to share this before.
