The year we won the fa cup for example I think we finished 10th but Uefa would have been teams finishing 2nd/3rd.

Maybe my opinion is based more on memories of some really big Uefa Cup finals

My memory is that the Cup Winner's Cup was more prestigious. There was only one entrant from each country, whereas the Fairs Cup was for runners-up and "also took part" clubs.
Of course, in those days, winning the FA Cup was also a lot more prestigious.
 
I’m browsing videos and photos from the win and the last few days and it’s like I can’t really process that it’s real. The magnitude of it. Did that really happen? I’ve never understood the saying «it takes time to sink in» - but I think I do now. Bizarre in a way. But I’m obsessed with it, can’t get enough!
