YepThink his next step is a management role. Also you should have some continuity.
I wonder what Frank has been told about support in the market and whether in his first transfer window he has given one or two key positions that we must buy for?
Is he being hired more because of being happy to work with what he is given (coaches, players etc) and won't be demanding/rock the boat?
Also, why has Iraola seemingly fallen off the radar? Has he given the impression he wants to sign an extension with Bournemouth?
Iraola has failen off because his football has fallen off IMO
It’s the classic do we want the same as what we just had or something more flexible
A lot of these coaches know each other well and might be in the agreement that Matty stays on in some capacity , he is a Spurs man through and through and will have a lot of knowledge of the whole playing squad.Interesting that wells hasn’t left
I rate IraolaMy understanding (or the noise going around) is part of the concern with Ange was the injuries/sustainability of the play, and Iraola is closest in terms of the same intensity issues (and impact seen via drop off in end of season).
Re the other @glorygloryeze comment, he'll get money, more money that he's ever had (think in 7 years, he got ~75M net, 255M, Ange got more than that in barely 3 windows), he's also accustomed to developing players.
I'd say the key characteristics are, he works well with media, popular with players, tactically flexible, PL proven, safe choice. Of course questions will be there about ability to compete across multiple fronts (specifically Europe) and what's his actual ceiling.
My perspective (and I'm not his biggest fan) is the club could do a lot worse than climb back up the table, get 5th/6th, repeat the following year (would be 3 years in Europe in a row again), in a year or so, Udogie, Bergvall, Gray, Sarr, possibly Wilson, Tel will be better players and VDV, Deki, Johnson, Porro will be in their prime, plus hopefully 2 years of decent additions. At that point, you evaluate and try to push on again.
Only rush is to get him in so that we can beat Utd to signing Mbuemo. No real rush. Come tomorrow, do the vids photo shoot etc... announce tomorrow afternoon.

I know. I’m just living in Fantasy Football land. He'll have nothing to do with negotiating contracts.
