If he can give any sort of explanation about Syria (and his continued vetoing of UN resolutions) which offers a non oil related justification then I'm keen to hear it.

Watched the first half. Fascinating stuff. He comes across as a much better human being than some other blonde haired idiots currently occupying the media eye in US and UK. Extremely intelligent and Olive Stone has his work cut out trying to get him to make any verbal mistakes.

Watched the second half (there's four hours of interview footage in total) last night and it was absolutely fascinating.

My view on Putin has changed almost 180 degrees.

Judging by the lack of interest on here, either I'm turning into a nerd or you guys have better things to do. Either way if you ever get the opportunity to watch these interviews, do yourself a favour. Oliver Stone is a great documentary maker and Putin is an excellent subject. Amazing honesty, humility and intellect.

The Kremlin looks incredible as well. In one scene they visit the situation room which is literally something out of Homeland/House of Cards.
