The origin of GG's badger

Hello, since I joined this forum 3 years ago (I think) I've never understood the meaning of the badger, and why it appears in OMT's seeing as badgers have nothing (as far as I'm aware) to do with the club. BUt I just thought **** it, and went with the flow. NOw I'm actually wondering though, wtf is with that?!

When the club first switched logo to the new one they were very protective over their copyright. They were clear that they would send the lawyers in if anyone used their logo.

So we ditched the ****erel for a badger.

It was the badger that qualified us for the CL. Some heathens suggested that the subsequent failure meant the badger should be removed.

The badger visited them in their sleep and chewed off their junk - we haven't heard from them since.
