If finishing second or third is deemed a bottle job then Liverpool must be the biggest bottlers of the lot. They managed to bottle it (finishing as runners-up or third) no less than 18 times since promotion to the top flight in 1962.

That they also won the League 13 times over the same period is neither here nor there. :rolleyes: :D
