Wikipedia said:
Nevermind is the second studio album by the American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991. Produced by Butch Vig,Nevermind was the group's first release on DGC Records. Lead singer Kurt Cobain sought to make music outside the restrictive confines of the Seattle grunge scene, drawing influence from groups such as the Pixies and their use of "loud/quiet" dynamics. It is their first album to feature drummer Dave Grohl.

Despite low commercial expectations by the band and its record label, Nevermind became a surprise success in late 1991, largely due to the popularity of its first single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit". By January 1992, it had replaced Michael Jackson's album Dangerous at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The album also produced three other successful singles: "Come as You Are", "Lithium", and "In Bloom". The Recording Industry Association of America has certified the album diamond (at least 10 million copies shipped), and the album has sold at least 24 million copies worldwide. Nevermind was in part responsible for bringing both alternative rock and grunge to a large, mainstream audience, and has been ranked highly on lists of the greatest albums of all time by publications such as Rolling Stone and Time.

Moby - Play

Play is the fifth studio album by American electronica musician Moby, released on May 17, 1999, by V2 Records. It was recorded at his Little Italy apartment in New York City.[1]

While some of Moby's earlier work garnered critical and commercial success within the electronic dance music scene, Play was both a critical success and a commercial phenomenon. The album introduced Moby to a worldwide mainstream audience, not only through a large number of hit singles (that helped the album to dominate worldwide charts for two years), but also through unprecedented licensing of his music in films, television, and commercial advertisements. It eventually became the biggest-selling album of its genre, with over 12 million copies sold worldwide.[2]

In 2003, the album was ranked number 341 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.[3] It was nominated for both a Grammy Award and Brit Award, was the UK's biggest selling independent album of 2000, and certified platinum status in more than 20 countries.[4]

The poll will be open for 24 hours.

No contest. I'd be surprised if Nevermind wasn't in the top 3-5. Could even win it.

Nirvana made an album that was the soundtrack a generation of kids grew up with.

Moby made the album that generations parents listened to whilst deciding what aftershave to buy.

Play really is a great album but it doesn't stand a chance here and rightly so as Nevermind is a stone cold classic

No contest. PLAY! Nirvana is boring, depressing music made by a boring, depressing man who sings like a squeaky toy, who killed himself because of his own music was so boring and depressing that he couldn't cope anymore.
Moby is a musical genius.

This will surely be the biggest walkover of the contest.

The very existence of Moby in the 90s was a clear symbol that music was about to end up on its arse - it still is.

Andrew Lloyd Webber makes musicals for people who don't like musicals - Moby does the same for music.

Even though I voted for Nevermind, I think I like the people who have chosen Play more for swimming against the tide. Hats off to you sirs.

3 hours to go and keep those votes coming.

I quite like some of his music but are we all agreed that Moby is a bit of a prick?
