They are, and I've voted for both so far.

They're just a little too polished for me

After talking about the Nevermind demos, I saw that they are on the expanded edition of the album. It's on Spotify and well worth a listen.
 
Just listening to it now, found it on Google Play on some deluxe edition.

I much prefer this sound. When I listen to albums I like to be able to hear an element of how I think the band sounded playing in their mum's garage - i think that's why I like John Leckie stuff so much.

He even managed to get some listenable bits out of Carnival of brick.
 
both these albums were instant classics and one has proven classier for me.

Saying that I doubt either are the personal favourite of any of us.
