Did like the way he unselfishly got out of the way for palinho to shoot, a lot strikers would have fudged that by going for the glory.
Yes. Didn’t really pick up on that at the game (opposite end) but thought the same rewatching on MOTD.Did like the way he unselfishly got out of the way for palinho to shoot, a lot strikers would have fudged that by going for the glory.
Absolutely. Also thought he did a good job trying to get space for the shot himself. Trafford got a touch to it (did well to) so didn't work, but showed good composure and skill insead of just smacking it at the keeper.Did like the way he unselfishly got out of the way for palinho to shoot, a lot strikers would have fudged that by going for the glory.

hope we start with Tel next gameTypical that he has a shocker when Solanke isn’t on the bench to replace him.
Typical that he has a shocker when we give him essentially no useful service.Typical that he has a shocker when Solanke isn’t on the bench to replace him.
Will be a very different game I think and one where we should be able to play to Richarlison's strengths. For the Bournemouth game I don't think Tel would have done significantly better.hope we start with Tel next game
So his inability to hold up even one single ball that came to him was because of lack of service?Typical that he has a shocker when we give him essentially no useful service.
What he's also good at that doesn't require service is generating chaos from difficult situations. But getting something useful out of that requires us having players and runs around and beyond him, we didn't really do that from what I can see.
No. But if he struggles at that, but also gets useful service he can thrive on he wouldn't have a "shocker".So his inability to hold up even one single ball that came to him was because of lack of service?
We shouldn't expect him to be able to stay on his feet? We shouldn't expect him to win the occasional ball under pressure? No. But if he struggles at that, but also gets useful service he can thrive on he wouldn't have a "shocker".
We know that with long hopeful half accurate balls up to him against PL defenders who are very much expecting that and set up to deal with that he'll struggle to hold the ball up. He's not Toney/Drogba. It's not his strength.
At the very least he needs a teammate close to him in those situations who can help him out. Like Kudus was against PSG - though that was probably also PSG not being as good at defending those situations.
We shouldn't expect him to do well in those situations in the Bournemouth game.
As a striker you are expected to hold up balls played into you. They wasn't just aimless punts, balls were played into his feet also. I think it's reasonable to expect him to be able to control and retain the ball. At the the very least he's body is already inbetween the defender and the ball so be strong and stay on your feet.No. But if he struggles at that, but also gets useful service he can thrive on he wouldn't have a "shocker".
