Reverse Osmosis

Is it really necessary in the home in this country? Your teeth will suffer from removing all the minerals
 
Have one under our sink, with an extra tap. Easy enough, don't go for the cheapest I'd say as the fittings in mine are weak. Don't use it now though, just drink mineral water.

Not sure about aquatic ones, though they look the same. I bought mine with 3years worth of filters, made it a lot cheaper.

I used to keep discus and rams but never bothered with RO. The water in my area (London) was really hard, and seemed to suit them, although understand they prefer soft water!
