Ratings v QPR

Friedel - 6. Couple of important saves. Poor distribution.

Walker - 3. Toilet. Absolute fooking toilet.
Gallas - 6. Done ok.
Vert' - 6. Looked much better at LB.
Bale - 4/6. Don't ever want to see him at LB again. Much better when forward.

Lennon - 6. Decent game by Lennon. Not spectacular, but okay.
Sandro - 5. Looked very awkward today. Covered a lot of ground.
Dembele - 5. Passenger. Kept forgetting he was on the pitch.
Dempsey - 4. Very poor. Invisible first half, stupid shoot on sight in second.

Sig' - 3. Totally anonymous.
Defoe - 5. Bit of a mixed batch. Poor first half, better second.

Caulker - 6. Couple of nervey moments, but not bad.

Bale was incredibly selfish today, three times he could've squared the bale to Defoe/Siggy/Demps and he went for goal instead. Hopefully AVB points that out.

Pretty much agree, especially with the Clint Hill mention, I said as much in the OMT.

I do think maybe I would give Gallas and Walker 5s as neither did much of any good.
 
I was pleased to see Caulker win everything in the air in both boxes, very promising for a youngster. That is a very big asset at set pieces.

I'm inclined to agree, but I still feel grades are somehow dynamic and relative, therefore a couple of 8's although the match was pretty brick.

Pretty much agree with that although i'd give Dembele a 5, held onto the ball for far too long on occasions, in dangerous areas too. Needs to sort it out and release the ball earlier.

Friedel - 7 - Some very good saves, especially in the first half when QPR were all over us.

Walker - 3 - Very poor. Offered very little going forward and was dodgy at the back too
Gallas - 6 - Meh
Vertonghen - 8 - Decent, I knew he was good on the ball but surprised at just how quick he is when bursting forward from left back. Some excellent last ditch tackles too
Bale - 6 - brick in the first half, decent in the second.

Sandro - 6 - Not as dominating as he can be, nor did he offer much going forward. Not bad though
Dembele - 6 - His worst game for us thus far. Not a terrible performance but was mostly anonymous
Sigurdsson - 4 - Poor performance, did nothing of note and was rightfully substituted.

Lennon - 7 - Caused them plenty of problems, a little predictable in his play though
Defoe - 7 - Poor first half, second half was much better. The finish for his goal was much better than he'll get credit for, as he hit it into the ground so it would bounce over the blocks from the defenders on the line
Dempsey - 5 - Not that impressed, he was completely anonymous in the first half but won some aerial battles in the second I suppose

Subs:

Caulker - 7 - Solid
Huddlestone - Don't remember him doing anything
Townsend - No real time, but was unlucky not to get an assist with a good run and pass in the last minute

AVB - 6 - We struggled today because of two mistakes AVB made, and also because QPR are a much better side than people give them credit for. Firstly, he shouldn't have played so many players he intended to play today against Lazio. Secondly, he played Bale and left back and Dempsey on the left wing. Bale is a world class left winger, but a brick left back. That's the reason we were about to sell him in 2010. But, to his credit, he realised his mistake, made the correct substitution at half time and took home the 3 points.
