***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC v Everton, Sun May 24th, 4.00pm, The Lane***

Crazy we got more points this season, the standard last year must have been terrible - we were awful for ages and never got near relegation.
Yes this is why when people made the point that we never threatened with relegation last season it wasn't anything to do with what we did it was because the teams below us were so poor. We finished 13 points clear of 18th, this season as we saw the quality of the relegation battlers was much, much more challenging.

If we fudge around in the summer we might find that next season they are even more difficult.

Poor on Sarr for cheating like that.ku
Made a meal of this relegation fight, and of the season. We were hamstrung by attacking injuries, but at least we finished with some momentum to take into September.

De Zerbi, through sheer determination and a press, got it done. He’ll also have a much clearer idea of the squad now, rather than arriving in the summer and needing a season to learn about his players.

There’s still uncertainty - how Kulusevski, Maddison, Kudus and Odobert will return. It’s not easy for the club to strengthen the attack when you don’t know who’ll be fit. Hopefully they all come back strong after an enforced break, and we can complement them with a few new signings.

We underestimated the loss of Son, especially once Johnson went, and Kudus went down as well. One thing you have to give this club: it’s never uneventful.
Kudus will likely be ok.

Maddison is going to be 30 soon, so even if he recovers fully, natural decline will kick in.

Also the epl is competitive...standings in the table doesn't depend on history as much as recent points form. The transfers we made simply weren't competitive enough too.
