Brilliant. Morrissey might be a grumpy (and slightly disturbed) old fudger but what a **** Bowie's being.

This has also made me renew my attempts at getting to grips with my age. When I first read the story I wondered why he was re-releasing the single as it's not that old - turns out it's 24 years old

Bowie is rightly regarded as one of this country's most influential musical artists.
The Smiths were a decent band, but there are a fair few far more influential.
Ask most people who was the 'greater musical artist' and the answer by a fair margin will be Bowie.

Who knows? Maybe some previous history, but Bowie is well within his rights. Particularly if he had nothing to do with the record.

Bowie is releasing stuff at the moment i do not know about morrissey because i do not listen to him or radiohead, all i know about morrissey is he is in the press all the time slagging people off non stop and acting like a sad pathetic old version of heat magazine. If he was so talented he would not feel the need to do this.
