Has Mason ever said he wants to become a manager? Or has he mentioned that he loves Spurs and is happy coaching etc? Just wondered if he has mentioned it in previous interviews during his caretaker stints?
Interesting, I wonder if this summer will be the time to finally head off and take a chance somewhere
Wasn't he close to being Anderlecht manager or some other club in Belgium? So he must have interviewed for the role, showing an interesting in becoming a manager...He sort of did actually.

Never mind a RVN!For every Moyes there is an Amorim....
Not going to happen. There have been plenty of opportunities to get rid of him if they wanted to, if we go out limply to AZ maybe they will pull the trigger then but most likely he will be here until end of the season. And no one knows what Levy is set on, even during the real dark times there was nothing coming out of the club to suggest he was on the verge of being sacked - just the wishes of a portion of the fan base.
Also the new manager bounce thing is a bit of a myth, it sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't. For every Moyes there is an Amorim....
RVN was doing well for united. Lol.Never mind a RVN!![]()
Only cos he was playing against Leicester every week!RVN was doing well for united. Lol.
Amorim was completely predictable, they don't have the squad for his game and he makes Ange look adaptable.
Genuinely, a manager willing to put us in a shape (without gaping holes), 4-2-3-1 with the 2 being more defensive, willing to use Son/Johnson in more effective ways, actually have Solanke as a CF, not a pressing workhorse/pivot could probably win at least 6 of the remaining PL games (might be enough for at least conference), and could win AZ and probably next game after, still think we aren't going to win it, not been consistent enough all season.
Vs. what? watching us struggle along for another 12+ games? fudge ...
I know some people say that formation is different from tactics. For me, formation is part of the tactics and I often wonder what would happen with our squad in that 4-2-3-1. The double pivot midfield, the full-backs really owning their wide areas and guys like Kulu and Madds working in the 3 to make magic happen.
It seems Iraola has found that 4-2-3-1 formula that is working for them but with a lesser emphasis on the high press.
Venom
Spence, Romero, VDV, Udogie
Bergval, Bentancur
Kulu, Madds, Odobert
Solanke
Very interchangeable with Danso, Porro, Gray, Sarr etc. Would suit Johnson more in my opinion as it is more akin to his Forest role. Wouldn't suit Sonny and Davies at this stage of their careers even though both played Poch's version.
I think Iraola would make it work but I think in ideal world, your side looks good, but few thoughts
- Think you still want more of a DM, either Gray evolves and/or you buy a Danso/Solanke type (experienced) for DM
- He uses wingers, so Son & Johnson may get more joy along with Wilson
- The rotation question is how do you get a DM, Bergvall & Deki in that spine (and what about Maddison?)
- Bonus, he knows how to get best out of Solanke already
Gray in for Bentancur. Dibling in at RWF, with Kulu to ACM. Delap at CF. And with Poch or Iraola at the helm, that's the team that wins the league in 26/27.I know some people say that formation is different from tactics. Amorim was probably the sensible option for us to bring in after we'd sacked Conte.Amorim was completely predictable, they don't have the squad for his game and he makes Ange look adaptable.

Mason is the attacking coach.
How poor is our attacking play?
Mason, needs to go with Ange and Levy.
