Off to KL on friday for 2 nights, anybody on here been recently and could give me some tips/advice on the city...

Staying in the Traders by the Petronas Towers

Looking forward to experiencing KL on the way across to Oz

Traders bar (the one next to the indoor swimming pool) is awesome, great views of KLCC.

Try Heritage Row next to the Sheraton. A whole strip of bars.

If you want to get down and dirty, there's Beach Club (on Jalan Bukit Bintang) in the city centre.

Pavilion is the best shopping centre. On weekends I have spent time in the Irish pubs there (they show live footy).

My uncle owns a Thai restaurant in the city. I'll see if I can find out more.

Cheers, I've heard about the Beach bar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've found a place to watch the Spurs game on sunday too, 9.30pm on a sunday night over a few beers, nice...

I think we ate in the Jalan Alor street every night, some great curries at one of the bottom restaurants. Otherwise there was plenty of working girls staying at the same hostel/hotel as us.
Didn't really see much of KL for the days I was there, had just lost all my luggage and was trying to get rid of my food poisoning from Nepal.
We also went to the Jackie Chan café because they had sofas and pretty great pineapple shakes, other than that we just hung around in Chinatown, at the Petronas and KL Tower.

Traffic can be a right bitch. The china town market is fun, they will ask you if you want a tattoo every few steps - but knowing you Marky, they might not bother! haha

Pavillion has a lot going on at night. The towers look cool all lit up. Don't bother queuing in the morning for tickets to go up them, it is a waste.

I'd like to go back soon :(
