Nope we are not signing him. He's an old Spurs player, which I didn't know much about, to my shame. I went over the road for a couple of pints and was sitting next to an auld couple. We got chatting and turns out Jimmy was their nephew and played for Spurs late 70's, early 80's. He went on to play for Coventry after that (edit played for Coventry before Spurs)
Anyone remember him?

Came from Coventry, 82 appearances for us, seems his time with us was ended by injury (guess it's not new)
 
Decent player left back who could cover at centreback, had a good shot on him. First saw him play for Coventry against us in FA Youth cup final 1970, 4 good games, both teams won 1-0 and replay ended 2-2, Spurs won 2nd replay 1-0. Coventry had some fair players, Dennis Mortimer, Jimmy's Holmes, Alan Dugdale, Les Cartwright, Bobby Parker and David Icke in goal, Perryman, Souness and Daines in our side, Souness was sent off in final and suspended from replays.

Absolutely I remember him, saw him play a few times!
