Don’t rate him personally seen enough of him. Cup games only just to give Kane a rest. That’s all he will be good for.I think Morata could be a useful addtion as a back up striker and for games we play 2 up top in.

Exactly that. It’s like just being stuck in limbo. Mediocre loans.
Surely we should have found one player to improve us .

The other challenge we now face, in addition to there only being 2.5 days left, is that the appearance from the outside and how the media are reporting our window is of chaos and desperation, so any club which we're speaking to about players can leverage that

It’s the same for every club though, they know what really happens behind the scenes and how much flimflam is reported on them. They’ll pay it no mind.
If you look at the past few windows the vast majority of deals get done in the last couple of days. Yes there are deals that get done earlier on, yes we’d all love our signings to get in nice and early but the facts are it massively ramps up in the last few days for everyone - we are not looking anymore desperate than anyone else, and those players we do go for in the past couple of days would have been in discussions well before. There is a massive distinction between what appears on Twitter and other media sources and what happens behind the scenes at clubs…..True about the reporting being far from accurate, but you combine it with all your activity being crammed into the last 2.5 days and it doesnt matter where its true or not. It makes us look desperate, which can't help when negotiating deals
we are not looking anymore desperate than anyone else
Again, you’re just talking about links and what you read in the media and discussing our portrayal in the media whereas clubs are working in their own bubble….Really? The clubs which are desperate are Saudi Sportswashing Machine, ourselves and perhaps Everton. Arsenal need a CF at some point but not sure they're looking as desperate as us
The top 3 are set and stable, Villa are buying but its a longer-term thing as their season is over (won't finish in Europe, wont go down), Leicester don't seem to be in the market, Man U don't seem to be linked with anyone,.....I'm not sure who else is desperate.
We've hired a world class manager who has highlighted the problems with the squad and who has publicly said we need to do something this window...and there have already been articles about him walking if we dont get active in the market...

But you are assuming whatever players we are going for now we haven’t had conversations with before now because you haven’t seen any Twitter links on them, that’s not the reality. You only hear a small part of the picture and why a lot of transfer come out of the blue. And the two Juventus guys we are in discussions with, Paratici has been talking with them well before now. With Juve tying up Vhalovic they now need to sell so we are in there trying to tie those up. Whatever players Paratici is negotiating with now, I’m confident he has had conversations with the selling club well before now and is now in a position to push through, just as is the case for other clubs as you watch various deal filter through the final couple of days. But of course if Paratici contacts a club out of the blue on deadline day for a player they are going to think we are desperate, but that’s going to have nothing to do with anything being said in the media…..Of course, but clubs on the other side of deals (ie clubs which we approach, or speak to about selling players) will only have the outside view too
We might be displaying zen-like calm internally and perhaps we're executing flawlessly on the plan which we put in place at the start of the window....however given timings, it doesnt take much to go wrong and get to the end of Jan in a very similar position to where we started it. And given Conte's comments about needing to improve, that would be a poor outcome
Perhaps it really is all going to plan though....

Not making the assumption which you suggest at the start.....I've sure we've had many conversations, however regardless of talks happening so far (those which we know of and those which we don't) it still leaves 2 days to get things done. And clubs on the other side of deals will know that things haven't worked out between us and our other targets given we haven't signed anyone....so that time pressure, and need to do something, increases other team's leverage over us
Hopefully it all works out. I'm sure we'll get something done
Most of the deals seem to be loans with an option. So not like we're going to be paying way over the odds for them.
Yep, kicks the can down the road til the summer
information works both ways, maybe we've sorted out a signing, but don't want it public yet so we can shift someone else out without it being bargain price as the buying club knows we've replaced them

How many examples of that can you think of (signing someone but it not being public)?
