If it wasn't for covid, he'd probably still be at juve.
 
I think before fans start throwing their toys out of the pram about who we have signed/who we should have signed we wait and see what we end up with after the summer window. Jan is NOT a good window to sign TOP players ( generally) and their is not real point in signing just more squad players. Let wait and see what we have for the next season kick off before bitching.

Emerson, Romero, Gil, Sarr, Gollini.
Emerson is 10 mil player, we spent 25.
Romero might be actually worth those 50mil.
Gil was 25 mil+Lamela. Might have a future, but he is the same age as Skipp and Oliver is miles ahead at this point.
Sarr is on the bench every other game at Metz, below average french team, 20 mil.
I dont know about you, but I would swap Sar+Gil+Royal for Vlahovic at any time.

Romero and Gollini are on loan so far
Royal I’m happy with myself and think he is very good right back. Just not a wing back
Gil I haven’t seen anywhere near enough to justify his fee but a5 his age he has plenty of time.
Sarr could be anything and I was impressed when I’ve seen him play (not much)
I wanted Vlahovic last summer
I even suggested him last January
We ain’t getting him now thiyg( but Sammaca is one we could get and he would be IMO Avery smart signing for half the money

Emerson is a 22 year old with caps for brazil. You don't get that for £10m.

Even if he doesn't work out the next couple of years, we sell and get most of it back.

Lamela 29, gil 20. Gil on half the wages and also has sell on value.

Sarr is 19. He might make it or might not. But low wages and can also be sold on.

The transfer fee is only a small part of the consideration. Wages, ability, age, marketability (why vlahovic will not get £300k a week and why ndombele shouldn't have got anywhere near his wages) determine what a player is worth.

To add to this. Son is probably worth more than kane to spurs. It's not all about what's on the pitch. Son brings in a huge amount of attention and money from asia.
