People are saying the top 4 are a class above us, so 5th is the best we are likely to achieve, by beating the likes of MNU, NEW, AST and any other curveballs that have a good season.
After 3 games we have 6 pts, MNU have 4, NEW have 2 and AST have 1pt from 2 games. That's pretty good news. (And note that MNU lost on pens to Grimsby and needed a last minute penalty at home to Burnley, to get a win).

all bets are off now, without Levy's leadership I reckon we could easily spiral into chaos

scary times

Or we could push forwards, break our wage structure and attract higher tier players to the club. This. Old utilise the high income into the club, building on the infrastructure masterfully built by Levy and use it to really take us to the next level.

A time of so much potential.

Break our wage structure when the other clubs are trying to lower theirs?

Yes as we have the space and finances to be able to do that. I think some clubs were spending 50%+ of their turnover on wages whilst we were only spending 30%. I think those figures are accurate from memory at 4am.

42% which is low. But uefa rules are 70% of turnover for wages + amortisation + agents fees.
The problem with wages is if you pay a player high wages and they don't work out. You can't sell them on. Man utd a great example.
The other clubs and us are now trying to buy younger players on lower wages.
There are exceptions.
